I’m absolutely over the moon to share some amazing news with you all…
I’ve been named a finalist in not one, but TWO categories at the Cake & Bake International Awards 2025! 🎉
✨ Best Product – Cake & Bake International Awards 2025
✨ Wedding Cake Artist of the Year – Cake & Bake International Awards 2025

To say I’m gobsmacked is an understatement! These awards are some of the most respected in the cake world, and just being recognised alongside so many incredibly talented artists and innovators feels like such an honour.
For those of you who don’t know, Cake International is the biggest and most exciting event in the baking world – like the cake version of the Oscars! To be a finalist in both of these categories is honestly a bit surreal.
A Little About the Nominations…
The Wedding Cake Artist of the Year nomination is incredibly special to me. Wedding cakes are the heart of what I do – I pour so much love into each design to make sure every couple has something truly unique on their big day. To have that work recognised on such a big stage is honestly quite emotional.
The Best Product nomination is for my Sharp Edge Cake Smoother® – a tool I designed after years of trying to achieve those perfect crisp edges on my cakes. If you’re anything like me, you know how tricky it can be to get that clean, professional finish. This smoother helps you create beautifully sharp edges on your cakes with confidence, and it’s been such a joy seeing so many bakers – from beginners to pros – using it and loving the results.

What Happens Next?
The winners will be announced in November at the Cake & Bake International Awards 2025 in Birmingham – so not long to go now! I’ll be there, nerves and all, soaking in the atmosphere and celebrating with some of the best cake artists in the world.
I just want to say the biggest thank you to my amazing clients, students, and fellow cake lovers. Your support means everything to me, and I wouldn’t be here without you cheering me on.
Whether I come home with an award or not, I already feel so proud and grateful to be recognised in this way. And if you’re chasing your own cake dreams – keep going. You never know where your passion might take you.
Fingers crossed for November! 💖🎂
Love,
Carol x
