I hesitated for far too long before finally booking a course with Carol ‘Master the basics’. Wish I had took the plunge sooner, the sharp edge smoother is an absolute game changer whether you’re a professional or a hobby baker like me. Carol made me feel very welcome, at ease and she also has the patience of a saint! Carol created our wedding cake and it was stunning. The colours and toppers were exactly what we had wished for, and the flavours were very tasty. She also made gluten-free cupcakes which went down very well with our coeliac guests. The only criticism I have is that communication was often difficult (my emails not being replied to and me having to follow them up, for example), but nevertheless the final result looked wonderful.

I experienced a course taught by Carol and what can I say, but wow! Worth every penny! She had the patients of a saint and was very focused in meeting all of the group’s individual needs. It’s rare for someone to be willing to share so much knowledge, even more than what was advertised on her site. Definitely worth investing in her courses whether a hobby baker or a professional as there was so much to learn. What made it even better, is that Carol herself is a normal down to earth person and a laugh to be around. If anything, I was going to score her low just because I’m jealous of her cakes.

Recently bought Carol's cake smoother and 16 inch plates. I have only practiced a little bit with it, but wow what a difference it has made. Hopefully I will soon update you with a picture but it is amazing on first try. I also couldn't believe how quick it arrived and was packaged so well. Thank you Carol

Sampling Carol's cakes was without a doubt my now Husband's favourite part of wedding planning! It has always been our dream to have Penguins on the top of our wedding cake and Carol not only made this a reality but made a truly stunning cake. Eating Carol's delicious cake was certainly a wedding highlight for us and all of our guests! We loved our cake topper so much it is now sitting proudly in a display case at home!

I bought wedding cake and Christmas cake tutorial with Carol. Oh I'm learning a lot and when you have a problem she's there to help. I'm in South Africa but I feel like she's close to me, because I can hear clearly and understand what she's saying.
