Wedding Cakes and Celebration Cakes

To secure your booking we require a retainer fee of around 25%, this is non refundable. Wedding cakes – the remaining balance must be paid three weeks prior before the cake is required Celebration cakes – the remaining to be paid on collection

Alterations

The price quoted will not change unless you change the design or portions requirements agreed at the time of booking. We will try to accommodate any changes you wish to make and may incur additional costs. Please note that no changes can be made 4 weeks prior to delivery/collection.

Cake delivery/collection

We offer a delivery service for both Wedding and Celebration cakes subject to availability and would advice to book in advance. This will incur an extra charge depending to where you would like it delivered to.

Please note that the cake becomes the responsibility of the venue or whom the cake has been handed over to. If you wish to collect the cake , the cake will be in a transportation box and any other information regarding your cake will be passed on to yourself. We will arrange a time of collection a week before collection 0900hrs – 1800hrs Monday to Friday and 0900 – 1300 hrs on Saturday.

Please note – cakes on leaving Cakes By Carol premises become the clients responsibility and we are not liable for any damages.

Allergies & special dietary requirements

Please contact us to discuss any allergy or special dietary requirements.

Our cakes can be made gluten free/ egg free/ nut free/alcohol free by request but please BE AWARE that although these ingredients are removed from the cakes we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of all traces for people who are highly sensitive.

Best Before Date

For freshness we recommend you consume your cake within 72 hours to preserve its taste.

Before the event – the cake must be stored away from direct sunlight and heat in the box provided.

After the event (if you have any left) We recommend storing your cake in either a refrigerator or an air tight container

Problems

Here at Cakes By Carol we take pride in what we create and if you have any concerns about your cake please say so upon collection/delivery so that we have the opportunity to rectify it. Upon leaving Cakes By Carol if you have a complaint please contact us within 24hrs and you must have 75% uneaten cake for us to asses the nature of complaint.

Classes

Cancellations

Cakes By carol reserves the right to cancel or change a class, in these circumstances we will normally arrange an alternative date and offer students either a transfer to another date or, if this date is not convenient an alternative class. If neither is possible a full refund will be offered.

Childrens classes

An adult over the age of 18 must accompany the children and be present during the class at all times.

Returns & transfers

We are unable to offer any refunds should you decide to cancel or are unable to attend your course. In exceptional circumstances, students who are unable to attend may transfer to another course if Cakes By Carol is able to re sell their original place to another student.

Refunds - Online Classes & Tutorials

Once you receive the links for access to a class, tutorial or download, you will no longer be entitled to a refund. Should you have any questions about your purchase we will be happy to assist.

If paid via Paypal you will be refunded your monies minus the Paypal fee (Paypal keep all transaction fees)

Returns & Exchanges

We gladly accept returns – please contact us within 14 days of delivery and ship items back within 30 days. We only accept returns if the item/s are damaged we cannot accept returns if the packaging has been opened and has been used. You will be refunded the cost of your purchase only. If paid via Paypal you will be refunded your monies minus the Paypal fee (Paypal keep all transaction fees)

Please note: If you have downloaded the tutorials for the Sharp Edge Smoother that the cost of the tutorials will also be deducted.

We don’t accept exchanges or cancellations – but please contact us if you have any problems with your order.

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged – Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective I cannot accept returns for Gift Vouchers, Digital downloads Pdf and Video tutorials.

Conditions of return – Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Ready to ship in 1-3 working days from united Kingdom.
Orders placed before 15:00 we will try to dispatch the very same day apart from weekends and bank holidays.

Delivery and promotions

If you take advantage of a promotional code, the reduction is applied only to the price of the product and not the delivery cost. Any free delivery offers refer to standard UK delivery only. UK delivery of standard products Most standard orders to the UK are delivered for £3.95 or less. The delivery cost is based on the product’s size and weight. If a product is delivered free of charge this is clearly displayed on the product page
